I'm really just writing to let everyone know (through the power of the blog) that i am still alive. I haven't written on here for a while because of the lack of internet oppurtunities, and unfortunately i forgot to bring my blog book with me to write up! (whoops)
You should (but who knows, the internet is just so poor here) see a picture of myself and Victor. Victor is 13 and wants to become a doctor, he asked if i could help him with a textbook, so i decided to oblige since he says he wants to share it with his friends.
Next time i get to Ankpa, i will remember the blog notes and let you know about the stuff i have been doing. The next month is gonna be really busy with the holiday club and orphans party (and organising the summer team). So your prayers and thoughts are really needed!

Missing you lots. Looking forward to hearing what you have been up to. Hope you have a great day on Monday - HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY.

Hi Chris, Happy Birthday for next Monday. I understand the normal post isn't too quick so we are sending you an e-card.
ReplyDeleteThe weather here at the moment has been very un-british with temperatures up in the high 20's and even reaching 30/31. Most of the lawns are a sort of yellowy colour instead of green and we here in Reading haven't had any rain for a fortnight. You probably know Wimbledon has a new retractable roof on centre court for the usual rainy british weather and up until now there has been no real need to use it although the snobbish LTA used it last Monday, I think really, just to show off. The roof does however look really special. Andy Murray has just played today and beaten Ferraro to reach the semi-finals against Andy Roddick who has just beaten Leyton Hewitt in an exciting 5 setter.
The Morgans are off to Greece on Sunday for 2 weeks. As you probably know the Duncans & Gwilts are off together a little later on.
Us poor old folks don't get any holidays!!
I don't know how much you hear about the news from the UK, but we've gone through a long period of Headline news about MP's expense claims which really have been pretty dishonest. It looks as if now we are going through an investigation into expenses claims by top management at the BBC. Whose turn it will be next I have no idea.
Anyway the big news back here occurred on the 14 June in Barnet and I am sure you will find this difficult to believe but there was rice pudding left over. I did my best but I am getting frail and old and I couldn't finish it all up; you will have to come back before the next lot is made.
All the best & LOL
grandma & grandad xx
